Policy meetings series

These meetings allow STOPAIDS members to get an up-to-date understanding of global HIV and AIDS policy and meet with global policy makers.

Our current focus has been on Sex Work, HIV and Human Rights.

September 25th 2013: Scaling up HIV Treatment: New WHO Guidelines and Treatment 2015 Framework

November 2012: Meeting with Michel Sidibe (UNAIDS)
This meeting was an opportunity STOPAIDS members to give insight in to UK government and civil society work on the global response to HIV and AIDS, and hear first-hand from Mr Sidibé what UNAIDS is prioritising in the coming year. An overview of the meeting is available here

September 2012: International AIDS Conference: Policy and Research De-Brief
The IAC took place in Washington DC in July 2012. This meeting brought together STOPAIDS members who had attended the conference to share the main policy and research presented at the conference. May 2012: The Power of Vaccines: ‘getting to zero’ for HIV and TB
This meeting, held in the UK Parliament, offered an interactive, challenging discussion, organised on the current state of, and future direction of vaccine research and development. An overview of the meeting is available here.
