Running for over 20 years, the Youth Stop AIDS Speaker Tour is a powerful and innovative event series. A week-long tour across the UK, which brings together the voices of young people living with and affected by HIV, domestically and globally.
This year there will be events in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London between the 24th – 30th April and we are teaming up with Students for Global Health (SfGH) for an event in Newcastle as part of SfGH’s global health conference on the 27th April.
Sharing young people’s lived experience through storytelling, we hope to inspire other young people to take action in power shifting and to advocate for a better world for all people living with HIV.
Speakers include:
Joyce Ouma, Senior Programmes Officer, Y+ Global, Kenya
Aoife Commins, HIV advocate and nurse, Ireland
Ellie Harrison, Operations Manager at JD Sports
Roberto Tovar, Director at Número de Serie
Max Morris (video): Senior Lecturer of Oxford Brookes University, Oxford.
