The STOPAIDS team take on the Great North Run

It’s less than a month to go until Mike, Siomha, Alysa and Karris will be running the biggest half marathon in the UK!

The Great North Run is taking place on Sunday September 10th, it takes place every year between Newcastle and South Shields. Former Olympican Brendan Foster created the run in 1981. The first run took place on 28th June 1981, with only 12,000 people taking part. Now there are a whopping 57,000 runners and it is one of the biggest running events in the world.

Below you can see the 13.1 mile route the STOPAIDS team will take or you can view it here.

Each year the STOPAIDS team join up with Jubilee Debt Campaign and The Climate Coalition to take part in the run and fundraise together.
