Parliamentary UHC Day event: Dec 12th

Good Governance: Safeguarding access to medicine to achieve Universal Health Coverage

Join us next Tuesday for a lively debate on the importance of affordable and quality medicines for achieving Universal Health Care. You’ll hear from industry, government, UN bodies and civil society on the barriers we face and how they can be overcome.

We are co-hosting the UHC Day event alongside the APPG on HIV & AIDS, Transparency International’s Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Programme and the APPG on Malaria. The event will take place on December 12th from 17:00-19:00 in the Houses of Commons (Room A, 1 Parliament Street).

The event will highlight how good governance can prevent corruption and increase transparency in the pharmaceutical sector, safeguard the public’s access to medicines and unlock further funding for health systems in developing countries and the UK.
