Evaluating advocacy: STOPAIDS’ role in the UK’s £1billion commitment to the Global Fund

STOPAIDS has spent a large part of its time over the last three years campaigning for an increase in the UK’s contribution to the replenishment of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In September 2013, the Secretary of State for International Development, Justine Greening, announced a better-than-doubling contribution of up to £1billion. We commissioned an independent consultant, with funding from the Elton John AIDS Foundation, to critically assess STOPAIDS’ contribution to this success.
